For S&G’s, I wanted to try Elementum on the TP Kodi 21.3 fork. After installing, it wouldn’t open, showing a message saying Elementum is starting, give it a few minutes…but it never opened.
So, I uninstalled stalled the fork and reinstalled it. I noticed something that I might of missed. It was a very brief ‘Kodi failed to update’ flag. So I went to
Settings-System-Logging, then selected Standard.
From there I went to Events on that page and selected 'Enable event logging ’ and ‘Show event log’.
The ‘Kodi failed to update’ event was there. I clicked on that flag and Kodi updated. I then installed Elementum, and it works.
For me it worked with no issues on the stock 21.3, so there’s something a little different with the TP fork.
