Cinema used to be my favorite, until I started having problems. I tried a lot of other programs, but didn’t care for them. A lot in here used Stremio, so I tried it. Love it, and never have had any problems.

Hey pirate 77, You seem to know what you’re talkiong about. Can you please tell me how to delete content from Cinema favorites and history folders? Thanks
to remove fav click on the heart at top of screen to remove history you will see that option when you click on the movie to get stream
Thanks for responding. I was successful with the favorites. In the History folder, I didn’t see any options. Some of the contents are series, not movies: When I click the titile for screening it shows a choice of seasons and when I click a season, I don’t see an option to remove/delete. What should I be doing? Thanks
you have to click on heart at top right of screen if its highlighted click it and it removes from favorites it will confirm delete from favs in the bottom left of screen
Option 2: In cinema open the tv series and long click on the series and click as watched every episode, from the on screen option.
the quick way to do it is to go to settings then applications scroll to cinema and delete data it wont delete the app but you will need to put in your preferences again
Your not kidding
Have downloaded Cinema HQ from official site, appears to be a good app. Ran Virus Total which showed 3 infections, including a Trojan.
Google Play Protect immediately disabled it.
I had to uninstall the app unfortunately.
I run IPVanish which doesn’t protect against viruses.
Just downloaded 5 miinutes ago using Downloader code provided in TP’s Cinema HQ guide. I had high hopes. But, Virus Total scan rendered 5 red warnings. This one caught my attention:
Hacktool.revpn/android!8.13A49 (CLOUD) is a malware detection used by antivirus engines (like Rising and Trellix). It is frequently flagged in the Android ecosystem when a VPN or media app has been compromised by a backdoor or botnet.
Is it a warning that should required app removal?
Based on google definiton the other 4 didn’t seem dangerous.
I ran app url through IPVanish url checker and it said app seems safe. So, I’m a little torn as to use app or uninstall it.
What are your thoughts?
I just downloaded it too. Ran virus total and it showed 5. Too risky for me considering how many options there are. Also I just couldn’t click the button to allow use of some of my "unused system resources "
Totally agree, app did allow use of Torbox debrid. That’s what got me hopeful. The previous versions rendered 15 warning. Lol, the number of warnings have drastically decreased.
For me it was wanting to use my unused resources, for what? I googled alot and couldn’t find any way to get around that even though the app dev says on his github you can opt out at anytime. Only if you opt to delete app I think
The opt out is in settings under Resource Sharing or something like that. There is a toggle to turn off that function. I did that until I can figure out why they want to use my computer and for what. So far, I like other apps like Umbrella and Crew better.
Thanks for the info,it’s very helpful. I just still can’t click the ok button on using my"unused resources " without knowing what or why. I used kodi a few times years ago but it took to much maintenance and gave up on it. Nuvio, stremio are much easier
Cannot load Cinema HQ! Get an error!
I installed cinema HQ and all went well until I tried to install my API number for TOR. I double and triple checked that long number but it still says it’s not a valid number. I give up. I double checked with Torbox to make sure the didn’t change my API number. Anyone else having this problem?
Cinema HQ has updated to version 6.9 today (June 29, 2026) and we just updated our tutorial reflecting these changes and past issues - How to Install Cinema HQ on Firestick & Android TV (V6.9)
I suggest uninstalling any previous versions of this APK.
Yay, just downloaded and ran VirsusTotal. Scan came back green. I’'m execited about adding TorBox. Thumbs up to the Developers. Many thanks TP-Ryan for posting the update and instructional guide. ![]()

Update: uninstalled, app need to use network banbwidth. Not willing to share my bandwidth with an unknown party. Guess I got execited too fast. You must agree, then says you can optout by changing settings. Don’t trust it, why not have opt in or out at the beginning. I’ll pass on Cinema HQ. I perfer to use apps that don’t want access to my bandwidth.
