So, I did the firestick exploit couple months ago which blocked future Amazon update. Should I still dowload an utilize this app?

Hello everyone, so, I have tried twice to install/open App Virtualizer. Downloaded from Troypoint toolbox and installs without issue. However, clicking on it does nothing. Just goes back to “your apps and channels".
My device is the Amazon Fire Cube…
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Side note, I did the install unknown apps setting also.

Thanks for responding. I downloaded to just try it out. Tried 1 Pix Media, Tubi, and Mobflix. Download, moving and launcing app was without issues. I was able to keep my vpn ipvanish on through the whole process. App did take a little longer to launch.

Streamflix wouldn’t launch for me. No biiggie, I don’t need the app. Amazon updates are blocked on my firestick. I like trying out new apps, as long as the setup is only a couple steps.

I had the same problem as you
I suspect you will have to find the permissions. There is one activated in the 3 vertical dots top right. No time to find out exactly where but I’ll look when I get back. Ok I’m back, go into apps>all apps, click on the app you want, then top right click the three vertical dots, Then click allow. If no dots click more then the 3 dots.

I just installed this app…and reinstalled it…and only have 12 APK’s in the folder?
1. I’ve tried cloning many apps using App Cloner but none of them open. Hence, I deleted App Cloner
2. Troypoint website’s March 9, 2026 instructions to download App Virtualizer on Downloader don’t work. When you click on the Download button (screenshot below) you get a Downloader error message “URL not found.”

I have Downloader V2 installed on my Fire TV
Hello, I just tested and working fine on my end.
Try disabling VPN temporarily if you are using one and see if that helps. If not, try rebooting router and your streaming device.
I am having the same issue! I am on the onn. 4K Plus Streamer and Downloader V2.0 and keep getting the same error “unknown error has occurred. Check your URL and connection.” Have been getting this more and more too!! It started with not being able to run the update in Syncler, it would start then give me a Failed error. Then I tried to run the update from X-plore with the a Failed error and something about having trouble Parsing the installation!! Really weird have never had an issue up til now and I finally had to factory reset it and still getting the error after trying to download anything 3rd Party a few tries it’ll finally go through and download!! This app and Surfshark absolutely refuse still tho!! Atleast I can get Surfshark thru Play store!! Any one else having this issue or any ideas whatsoever?? Please help!!

I had rich to the TP download, when click on it, will send mecback to TP.
I was able to download it on my firestick but my fire cube wouldn’t launch it. I’ve deleted it, reloaded it, still won’t launch. Turned off vpn, same results.
