Yeah I updated my surfshark VPN but I had to go through the same process to reconnect to my internet. I had to shut off VPN force stop it clean the cache make sure that I can connect to my IPTV service without the VPN that includes taking the kill button offline then had to go back and turn on surfshark engage it go back to IPTV service make sure I can connect to the service then go back to surfshark and engage the kill switch. There’s nothing wrong with my system, that’s just the way surfshark acts on my system. I can make it work but I have to force stop it disengage kill switch and make sure I get my service with VPN off then on then re-engage kill switch.
Enable Surfshark. At connecting stage shuts down cube which then reloads.
Deleted. Downloaded from Troy. Same result.
No other problems with cube
I have had Surfshark on Xfinity with zero problems for well over 1 year. Direct internet connection.
Well new info. I have 2nd gen and 3rd gen fire cubes.
2nd gen. Surf message to update. Deleted app reinstalled with Troytools. Went to connect but at connecting it crashes fire cube and cube reloads. Deleted surf. Reloaded from toolbox twice and Surfshark working with wireguard protocol.
3rd gen cube. Same process. Same issues.
Changed from wire guard to open protocol UDP and works. Wire guard dies not work.
So on 2nd gen Surfshark on wire guard now works after several reinstalls on wire guard
My 3rd gen cube after multiple reinstalls only works with open protocols
I believe Surfshark has bugs!
Yes every now and then I still have to go through the dance to try to get
surf shark.

SS-while a great deal thu Troy, has always been kinda buggy for me…(once or twice after an update everything hit the fan so bad i would jump over to Proton free VPN)…i got the 2yr.+2 or 3 months? deal that lasts thru 1/2026…sometimes i get blazing fast 
& 
speeds, sometimes just enough to stream…i try diff servers-protocols etc. etc. etc., usually no help at all but sometimes a little…the other day i was getting 125 & 38 with Onn 4k Pro…i have tried the free Proton VPN-i have Proton mail so get one free vpn… and i would get faster speeds with US servers and surprising enough even their Japan and Netherlands servers than SS was getting…
