I have done the steps you outlined about 100 times, and still get that 403 forbidden error. Any suggestions?

Same issue here. No problem on the Firestick or the older Sony Android tv. New Sony Android tv today and can’t get passed this. No VPN
I updated the Webview as well as updated the Downloader app while I was there and it seemed to fix the issue for me ….. VPN running :))
Good luck to all
I get unauthorized message. 403 when trying to get the toolbox on downloader on new onn box
Hello, please see link at top of page that will take you to a tutorial that fixes this.
I set up an ONN box yesterday where I ran into the ‘403’ problem page. Running through the hints on the video did not help. What did help was toggling between setting the time/date setting to manual and then back to automatic. Then I also had to make sure that my box’s time zone was set to the zone in which it was physically present. (It wasn’t)
After that, everything worked as it should.
I also learned, kind of too late, something during all my recent flailing around with the Toolbox & Google Play Store.
If I’m going to set up 2 or 3 boxes again in a short period of time, the first thing that I’d do is get a file manager from the Play Store installed on the ONN. Then I’d get an OTG cord and a small thumb drive, download the APKs from the Toolbox web page to my computer and install the apps off of the thumb drive using the file manager. If I’d done that, I would have saved a fair amount of time.
Thanks for this tip!!
