In my attempts to get the downloader on my new fire tv I get a pop up -----
DOWNLOADER
For your security, your tv is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source
Did Amazon cut off downloader and unknown sources preventing Kodi? Or is there another way?
What model of Fire TV do you have? In most cases it’s a matter of surfing to the “Build” in the settings and clicking on that about 7 times to activate the developer options and then activating the allow install from unknown sources on individual apps.
OS 7.6.7.1.

@Miki is right follow his instructions and developer options appear
Under “your tv” I click 7 times and a pop up says " no need. You are already a developer"
Ok pop up said I am already a developer. Went back to d’loader and installed kodi. Thanks for the help!
What is the “build” in the settings? Where can I find that? Just bought a small Insignia Fire Tv and want to get into developer options, but it is not there.
I do not have the option to see “MY FIRE TV”
To enable developer options on your Amazon Fire TV, open the Settings Menu, and navigate to My Fire TV > About. Select your device’s name 7 times, until you see “No Need, You Are Already a Developer.” The Developer Options menu will then be accessible in your Settings.
If you can’t find it doing it the above way and don’t have “My Fire TV”, then try looking for “device & Software” and click on that to open it, then click on “Your TV” 7 times.
Thank you…it worked.
