How Many of You Use Real-Debrid?

True.

Ive used it since 2023 thanks Troy.

How do you update the API key?

Go to the RD site, log in and then look for the API key. Should be a renew or refresh button. Same goes for PM

Thanks. I did that and got the message: Your previous API token will have to be replaced in all your apps using it. Are you sure ? I don’t see any place in the apps to replace it.

In apps there is always some place to authorize RD or PM and that is where you need to get a new API key and add it.

Basically you have to revoke authorization and then enable authorization if the app automatically uses your new API (that’s where an 8 character code pops up and you visit RD’s site).
In the case of Stremio, you have to enter the new API number in torrentio’s or Orion’s fields, most easily done accessing with a computer.

How did u get a deal with them, through email?

When I went to sign up for PM they had a deal on. 3Yrs $139 USD. $3.86/mth that way. Pretty good deal if you ask me. No auto renewal.

When I eventually renew I’ll keep my eyes open. That’s a good deal

I’m a little confused as well about the ‘safety’ of using RD after they basically said they would give our information out. Is this how they’re still running things? I stopped using them once I saw Troy’s warning a few months back.

Even if they said ‘we’re sorry, we won’t do that again’ etc… I personally won’t trust them again

You should go to their site and read their latest documentation. There are clearly definded rules regarding copyright material and downloading, not to mention account sharing etc.

It’s completely safe to use and there is no proof that they ever share any users information

I’m pretty sure the RD ppl said it themselves that our information could be given. I’m paraphrasing, it’s been a few. I just know they were on someone’s radar and had some legal interactions. As soon as I saw the warning email from Troy, I immediately stopped using them. I’m happy with PM, for now :crossed_fingers:

It was mentioned on trustpilot in response to some reviews but still no proof that they share users logs.
Nobody knows what any Debrid service does with users logs.

PM usually runs the 3yr deal for Black Friday.

But if you go to your RD account , you are able to see your logs in the “Downloads” tab. I typically go in several time a week and delete what is there.

Yes but that doesn’t delete their logs that they keep for up to a year.
