Help installing Defsquid on Nivida Shield

I am having a problem installing the DefSquid apk on my Nivida Shield. I go to my downloader apk and have tried all the things I could find, from short codes etc with no luck. It will start to connect to a site and then on downloarder error: Couldn’t create file. Is your storage full? On my Nivida Shield it said I have 3.4GB available. Any help with this problem would be great. Thanks Tony

Tried that and got this on downloader error: Couldn’t create file. Is your storage full?

If your VPN is on then turn it off and try again and go here: AIO Protection for Fire TV & Android - DefSquid App

If the Downloader installer fails. then go into your file manager and install from there using it’s installer.

If you still can’t even get to a website using Downloader. Then use a different browser to do so. Downloader can get wonky at times.

Defsquid is in the Play Store, no?

Not on my Nivida Shield Play Store.

Shoot sorry, I thought it was. Maybe just in Amazon app store.

Don’t see it there…I just checked, but I believe it is in the App Store.

DefSquid:Amazon.com:Appstore for Android

I just now downloaded it from the Def Squid’s webpage onto my Shield. Getting ready to open it up and let the Big Dog Eat! lol

Running the programs now and everything seems fine. I used to have this app on my Shield. Can’t remember why I took it off. Just ran the Cleaner and now doing the Virus Scan. Everything looks peachy clean.

NO problem and thanks for input anyway

Put this into your Downloader browser and get the apk download from there. I just a few minutes ago did so!

You figure these are all False Positives. I figure Strix is a risk app, but the others should be solid.

I always figure they are false positives if virus total doesnt see them as a threat. But to be honest i dont use Defsquid as a virus scanner because of the confusion, i really like it to clear cache and force stop apps.

I’m with AMD…I use the Manage Apps & Cleaner…with an occasional virus scan…& if I get a red flag, I run it thru VirusTotal…well, I generally run any new app thru both of em, & most of the time I figure 1 strike on VT is because of the modding in the app.

I just reinstalled Virus Totl on my Shield and just as I thought only that Strix apk shows up. I should delete that frickin thing. I never use it.

I don’t use or really know anything about Strix, but if it is showing as a concern on both scans, I would say it may not be worth keeping around.

It’s an old standby app that usually has issues with it, but it keeps coming back for a while. Then will act up again. I just now delete the thing once and for all! lol

All in the GREEN now! :shamrock:

Watch out ! When I installed Defsquid in my Sheild pro it deleted all my addons and data .

How did that happen? Could you elaborate and be a bit more descriptive? Thanks

I use it on my Shield, it never has deleted anything that it shouldn’t.

Yea it doesnt do that.
