It looks interesting but pricey; however, it may be all many want.
Thanks, Bob
This is an old video with an old device.
They’ve come a long way since.
The latest ones have 4gb ram, 128gb internal storage and about 20 to 30 apps that pretty much work flawlessly. Very little if any buffering and everything loads up in a second.
On some apps you can rewind up to an hour on almost every channel.
On another I can go back 7 days on certain channels and watch anything that I missed.
I also currently use TiviMate with Layer***** IPTV service and the tv guide never seems to work and the service can be very spotty. They were having major issues from November through December and were blaming it on servers.
On my Vsee 3 plus I almost never have issues and the tv guide is spot-on !
I can side load apps like StreamFire and Smart Tube but rarely use them cause all the preloaded ones that come with the unit work so well.
I’m too old to be messing with Kodi and Real Debrid and don’t miss them at all. Especially having to do all the updating crap.
I will die on the Hill that says buying any preloaded boxes is ridiculous. Especially for people in this cost cutting forum. All the info needed to setup and maintain a cost effective streaming box that gives you all the content you need with several different streaming choices (KODI, Stremio, even crappy APK’s). ONN 4K Pro for the win
Mark I understand what you are saying. However, if you need IPTV, the cost of some these boxes is coming down to where they are less than 2 years of IPTV subsciptions. Any thing after that is like free. So I can see what he is saying above.
@MNBob I checked that Box out and it has no advantages over the $50 ONN Box? I just would never buy a preloaded box. You are basically paying for someone to load the same apps you could do yourself on your own better less expensive box. I have everything I need including IPTV.
That’s a good price. Mine have two connections because I record and they are in the $80-120/year range. Anyway, the break even point would be 2-3 years.
All I’m saying is I can see some advantages to this approach especilly for older folks and the non-technical. You just buy the box and hook it up. You don’t need any subscriptions or VPN’s.
