Guide not working

I’m using the tvmate and the guide never works, currently it’s only displaying Jan 12 and all channels say no information! How do I fix this?

@Ercoffey73

That sounds like a issue with the provider, I would try contacting them, sometimes the guide takes a bit to load.

Good morning. I have 33 EPGs loaded and active on the 6 playlists I have loaded. When in an epg you can click up or down to highlight a channel, hold down the select key to open settings, then scroll down to “Assign EPG”, cluck on that. This now opens the search function and the first time it opens the search can take a couple of minutes to load. Once open your selection becomes visible. Search for the exact channel and click it on the right to activate that channels epg. If the exact match isn’t there you’re out of luck until you find an EPG with that channel in it.

So many alts. Are you using m34u to create EPGs?

No. I get all my epgs from the net and they are all xml files. m3u are the playlists and occasionally an m3u8 pops up and has the epg already in there and adds it automatically.

m3u4u.com is a website that help create a epg for a playlist you provide.

I know. Lol. I don’t need to create any xml epgs, there are countless ones already done.

You using github as a source?

That is one available source, but I use many.

I was exploring the exact same problem. There is problem with my provider. It was all over Telegram. They hope to have it fixed soon. I don’t think I am allowed to say who my provider is so you may want to check with yours to see if they are aware of the issue. It may be the same provider.

@denadavidson99

We are not to mention providers in the insider correct. People can pm you if that’s okay with you. But if any of the troubleshooting steps haven’t solved the epg guide issue then it would be provider related.

@Miki I want to make sure I understand terms correctly. When you say m3u’s are playlists, do you mean the list of channels provided by a particular provider? EPGs typically have xml somewhere in the URL–is that correct?

Yes playlists are either m3u or m3u8 and EPGs are xml. Thise are the most common ones. Some providers have Xtream codes but imbedded in them is the m3u. Playlists are channel lists.
