I guess its just a matter of time but its still working on my Onn pro.
As of now it’s working fine on my HISENSE Google TV and all of my onn TV boxes. I never had issues with crashing before. I wonder which devices it’s crashing on 
Using encrypted DNS (Techdoctoruk DNS switcher) blocks live TV on my ONN streaming devices with Android/Google TV, it might be that one of the DNS services will let it though but I don’t watch it anyway. So I won’t even notice if it’s disabled by an update.
I have the DNS switcher and no affect to any of my IPTV services in TiViMate.
Where were you about a week ago? I factory reset 2 devices trying to figure out why Freeplay wasnt working. As you figured out it was the DNS switcher that was causing the issue.
For some reason it only affects Freeplay. Other FAST services like Pluto and Tubi still worked.

Spent a lot of years troubleshooting UNIX boxes, first thing I do is turn off anything new,
but I found this when testing the app.

So true. My issue was DNS switcher looked like it was “off” and I even wound up deleting the app. But the dns was still switched so it tricked me. So i factory reset to fix the issue.
On my 3rd device i was advised that i needed to go back into the app and select connect and then disconnect from dns server. That worked.
