Most of these recent improvements are more time consuming for users. I’m clicking two to three times for something that use to only require one click. I’m not liking this trend.

Yes the Google Play store ends up being a categorized search engine. About three buttons to get there.
My tablet is older (2018) and no longer get updates, so I probably won’t get these upgrades.

I don’t have any issues with Google search, but I regularly clear out my data and reset stuff. Not easy but then I get bored easily. I also still use Chrome and not had any issues. i don’t use any of the "enhancements. I do set my search parameters like location and language.
You can always reset your ad profile and adjust it as needed. Ads are ads and I can never understand why they seem to offend so many, when they are not only a fact of life, but are so easily ignored or simply scrolled over. I never give them the power to annoy me or interfere with my enjoyment, no matter what I’m doing, it’s a waste of energy.
LOL Been using Google for years with zero issues. I use it every day! But as always YMMV
Yes there have been reports as you refer to, but has done absolutely nothing to interfere with my use of their search, nor the results returned. I personally have never had any problems with my use of Google. This is much like the claims that Ford is better than Chevy and vis versa. So I agree it’s entirely subjective. Oh and the reference to other engines, well I tried a few like duckduckgo and found it no better and the results returned less useful for me.
I’m American, and hate to admit it but Toyota beats them all. 
I use to have a caravan, chevy and ford, sometimes I do miss fixing everything that goes wrong on a monthly basis but there’s much more fun things to do in life imo.

No need to bring political views into this. As I said I’m quite happy with Google and as it’s on all my streaming device I have no issues with the architecture or it’s setup. Maybe you should consider Linux.

Well it isn’t my site it’s Troy’s. I am just tasked with making every effort to keep us focused on tech and all the bits and pieces that go into that, and to keep what can ferment discourse to a minimum and preferably non existent. Thank you for your co-operation, much appreciated.

Not teaming up on you and like yourself I am allowed to have a discussion voicing my side the same as you. The only time I would make any firm suggestions is precisely when rules are broken. As for @MarkxG , we rarely agree on much and if you knew our history you would see that we have widely different points of views but respect each others. We have had lengthy discussions. One of us for something and the other against. But always we keep it to the tech which is what this site is for. I meant no offense and do the same for everyone without prejudice.
