i have noticed most of us on here are old school and that’s why we are cord cutting. went from Beta-max, to VHS, to Laser disc, to DVD, then had to buy all our movies again on Blue ray.. now they want us to pay to rewatch all the movies we already own? Does anyone still own a DVD player? I saw a Garbage Pail Kids movie Laser disc in a pawn shop the other day.. now i regret not buying it. Not that I own a laser disc player.. or a even record player.
Wonder if Landman will be released on DVD? sometimes you just gotta scream and stream

I usually make a Trakt List of all the Best Picture Oscar Nominations and try and watch them before the Oscar’s but I gotta say the past few years a lot of these nominated movies are just unwatchable. Something strange happened because most of them used to be good but now IMO it’s off the rails

We watched this one and enjoyed it. Great scenery and casting, but off-beat tempo at times. “Great family friendly hitman horror flick” (Beyond Fest Review 2025)

I’m not big fan of vampire movies but folks love SINNERS. Has anyone watched it here and recommend it?
It’s a rare thing to get a decent movie anymore. Seems to me all the movie makers all have some sort of agenda to push instead of just making a quality film. And I don’t mind cussing to an extent, but when they make a time period movie, you know they didn’t talk that way back then. I don’t understand why they feel the need to cram movies full of expletives.

And last year Anora sounds even worse. We didn’t watch it but sex, drugs, nudity and extensive profanity litter the reviews. It won the Oscar. Way to go Hollywood.

Hollywood, Bollywood and the rest are just making movies that draw people to theaters or subscription services … which leaves me out ! Which makes me wonder “Is RAP music really music? “

The first show was fantastic. Full of action, aliens and no swearing. Going to watch the next 2 episodes that have been released as well tonight. Go Trekkies.

Glad you like it. I have it in my Que. was wondering though there are a ton of Startrek series out there. Would I need to have watched another series to understand what is going on with this one?

Not really as it “Stands Alone” but if you watched “Discovery”, (if my memory serves correct) towards the end Tilley said she was leaving to be a professor at SFA. She has not show up yet on the episodes so far, but a few of the others from Discovery have. (wont say to alleviate spoilers..) Even the “Doctor” from “Voyager” is back to his old snarky self ! Enjoy.

I finished Landman last night. It was EXCELLENT. Billy Bob is profane but the story and characters are likeable for the most part. I could do without the cheerleader daughter. Her schtick gets old.

Glad you enjoyed it. Can’t wait for Season 3! I saw the Daughter (Ali Larter) on one of the late night Shows can’t remember which one. With her strong Texas accent can you believe she grew up in New York?

I liked it too. Based off of true story stories are always a win win for me.
And the movie theaters are bleeding customers. So that plan is failing. Sure streaming is cutting into it, but so is the subpar movies they make.
