Smooth as silk with Express VPN ![]()
All IPTV suck. You have too have 4 or5 back ups it’s the server’s they can handle the volume. You feel like you’re getting throttled down try changing location on your VPN take the plug out of your router for an hour also same with device whatever device you’re using that’s sometimes works I’m lucky to have a hotspot that I can get through my IP my IP provider so I switch back and forth to the hotspot back to my IP and definitely don’t use a lan not suggested not worth it
Now I certainly haven’t read every comment but it seems the common denominator here is firesticks. Any Android users experiencing similar issues?

Gotcha but I was talking about the sever from IPTV that’s why besides this site I don’t text massage, got rid of eBay for example
…sorry guys but buffering is like herpes, when you see the signs of it coming, get it treated. I don’t have but 11mbps on a good day and when I see buffering longer than 5-10 seconds, it’s time to do something. As mentioned here, knowing your IPTV service and your VPN is major; many times switching servers and doing a force stop/clear cache will do the trick. Other times, good communication with your IPTV customer support can solve an unknown issue.
I think sometimes we tend to go overboard and try to solve the issues by doing way too much and end up messing things up even more; unfortunately there are those day where NOTHING appears to work lol…that day is best to do something else and come back later or the next day and everything is fine. Thanks all…
I bit the bullet and now ran Ethernet cables to my devices. Works so much better than wifi for me anyway. My house was lucky enough to have old coaxial throughout. So just a matter of carefully tying it up and running through. Never going back to coaxial anyway😝
yeah ethernet makes all the difference won’t go back to wifi.
wifi is great if you have the right equipment. I prefer Ethernet too, but with my new wifi-6 router, the wifi is faster on some of my streamers.
I guess my equipment isn’t up to snuff.
Not saying that at all, just stating what happened to mine after i got a new router. Yours may just need tweaking, but again, ill state i still prefer a solid wired ethernet connection.
Miki have you heard anything about DRADIS I did last update and scrapping is completely messed up do you know what build that and on is used in thanks Pat
Yes I have installed been using there wasa update yesterday. And know it won’t go past scrapping and resolving??
Gotcha
I had the same problem. I force stopped SS and cleared the cache. Problem solved. Thank you.
Also using SS with 1g service. Without VPN 400 -600 down with SS 22 - 48. Proton VPN always about double SS. Have changed protocals, servers, static ip, reset modem all with same results. SS really throttles my speed to the point of buffering especially with IPTV.
Is anyone having these issues with Surfshark? I have 1gb broadband account and using my onn 4k or my z11 pro max, i test with Analiti and my download speeds are right there at 900+ mbps but as soon as i turn on Surfshark my speeds drop to around 90 or 100 mbps. I have been doingbthis a long time and know to expect some loss (around 25% would be fair or expected) but no matter what protocol or country or server i use in Surfshark thats the most i can achieve. 90% loss is way more than acceptable and Surfshark seem to be able to do nothing. My question is …does anyone know of a fix? Or is there a VPN that works better? As i said i have been cord cutting for many years now and previously had tried IPvanish which was worse years ago. Any help?
That is the most bandwidth I’ve ever got from SS and it’s very adequate for streaming. More than adequate. I used to get 45 approx and had no problem streaming. It doesn’t matter what your ISP’s speed is, once you move to their servers, it’s all about them.
I have went to a whole house router and will never go back to a app, easy to install surfshark or Ipvanish and speeds are absolutely fantastic. There is a app for your phone to check connection to vpn and its always on, never any issues. You can search on this forum and Troy has a great video on setting it up. WiFi 6 WireGuard VPN Router Setup - Asus AX5700 (RT-AX86U PRO)
Hope this might help!
I agree with @Rocker69 . I got a TP link router a few months ago and the speeds are great when you run the VPN through it. Not 100% but around 50% for me.
It was even preinstalled with SS, Nord, IP vanish and Pure Vpns.
It was very easy to set up the vpn. A non preinstalled vpn is a little more involved but doable.
