Getting a "httpdatasourceexception" Error on IPTV with Tivimate

Its possible if you know how to read router logs you might find the exceptions but its a hassle. Calling them you will find out what you already know. A vpn is really the only way to mask kodi etc.

Hey @pangaeatech put your list in and worked great. And guess what my channels started working as well so Had to have been an issue with my provider’s site and may be fixed at this point.

Now the issue is that I’m so new to Tivimate and the Navigation your list is now bunched in with my list. No worries I’m sure I’ll figure out how to sort everything in due time but for now it looks like I’m all good! Much appreciated and I have a Fight backup now! LOL

Great to hear…just go back into settings/playlist & toggle the PlutoTV off…you can keep it off & just sitting there in case you want to use it again…or just delete playlist.

@pangaeatech perfect! So since the link you sent me works in my Tivimate I’m assuming that’s a Free IPTV Service right? I’m paying a dirt cheap price for my paid sub with like thousands of channels but now I see how you can have multiple playlists in Tivimate at the same time. Is there like a Master list of these URL’s like you sent me or do you need to do some digging? And if I’ve stepped over the line here sorry Mod’s

That was Pluto…that app is on PlayStore & Amazon…the m3u url for it can be put into player playlists. There are two regulars on this forum that have all the free playlists there are…they’re you’re best source. Just type in @miki & or @Powerfader in the search bar & shoot them a private message…I’m sure they would be more than happy to direct you to their playlist collections…I saw that Troy has a 2022 one also…they will know how to get it.

WOWZERS! Thank you @Miki ! This should keep me busy for a while!!! Now this Spurs another question. Bear with me IPTV Newb here. So as of now I’ve entered 2 of these M3uStreams. The paid sub I have and the one I got from @pangaeatech In both of these cases I’ve only had to add one URL and that included both the Playlist AND The EPG. I see some of the above have the EPG as a separate URL. Probably a dumb question here but where does the EPG get entered in Tivimate and how does it get linked to the playlist? and why do some URL’s already have the EPG and some do not?

Thanks Much!

Hey I’m pleased you find my efforts helpful. thank you.
So with TiViMate open, and the left option bar open, click on settings, then click EPG, then click EPG sources, then scroll to the bottom and click Add source. So I have CA as one of my playlists, I open that playlist by clicking on it, then EPG sources, which I added in the previous step, now in here I have multiple epgs and one is CANADIAN, and it’s source address is Ollie! The Boy Who Became What He Ate so I click on that to enable it. Done.
now most playlists that also have the EPG embedded are m3u8 and I take it that you have added some of those as part of the adding of playlists is adding the epg. now epg lists are xml files, and assigning those epg lists to a Playlist is also done in the settings. Click Playlists, then scroll down and click a specific playlist and it’s setting page will open. Now scroll down and click EPG sources, then click Manage sources and if you’re like me I have 34 EPG sources. Why?? because often playlists have identical channels and so the epg for that specific channel will appear on multiple lists and so populate the m3u with the epg regardless of what playlist it is. So I add a playlist and then enable all 34 epgs for that playlist. Now there are also ways to assign an EPG to a channel individually, but lets leave that as a more advanced step. Don’t be afraid to click your way around inside the settings to discover a world of options.

If you’re using a paid IPTV service and you suddenly get that error then it is not a VPN issue. Usually it’s on the server side. This is why I have a backup service. Sometimes the servers will only be down for a couple of hours at most. As long as the support team is answering questions then you’re good, you just need to wait. But if they are suddenly unresponsive then the service may have been shut down. Sometimes the URL gets changed and you just have to ask your provider for the new one. But your username and password will stay the same.

okay they have been really responsive but after submitting a ticket and emailing the service Admin I received a response that is rather fishy to me about doing “5-10 day” maintenance and they have another server that is a lot more stable but the lineup will be different. I blasted them about being a bait and switch operation asking why I would want to change to another server, and that I paid for the service I used during the trial so switching to what you are calling a more “stable” server seems bait and switch. And I’ve never heard of any maintenace taking 5-10 Days! That is just wrong! But after just seeing your email about switching servers I guess that is standard in the IPTV. space. Starting to learn that these IPTV Services are like the Crypto Exchanges. Kind of like the Wild West! Why would I need to transfer to another URL? I paid for this service shouldn’t they be doing it for me?
Here is a part of the email response I received from them:

"You can delete your login details and redo them again. You can also restart your device by unplugging. If everything else doesn’t work you have to uninstall and reinstall the app player you’re using as a last resort.

Also, right now our servers are undergoing regular maintenance and might affect some of channels and categories. This will last from 5 - 10 days. We have another server that’s a lot more stable in my
opinion. If you’re interested, we can give a 24 hour trial.

After you can decide if you want to make a switch but the lineup will be different. Please let us know about your choice so we’ll send your login the 24 hour service. Thanks for your patience and
have a nice day!"

The servers have to be up and running for the service to work properly. The more users you have the faster and more stable your servers need to be. So yes, regular maintenance is necessary. Part of that maintenance may actually be replacing the servers with better ones. It doesn’t hurt to ask for a trial on the other server and check out the channels. Make sure it’s not missing anything that you regularly watch. I’m betting both servers have all of the usual USA channels, as most services do. These days if you have an IPTV service without all the major networks and all of the sports and movie packages then no one is going to want it. Gotta stay competitive.

Thank you @Jayhawks659 I didn’t realize that they were trying to help by asking me to change to another server and the lineup might be different. I blasted them very hard with 2 email responses saying they are a bait and switch boiler room op, they a re probably done with me but I will go back and let them know it was a misunderstanding and I see so many scam operations and scammers in general I just had my radar up!

They would also have to change your url as that’s the connection code to there server which is different to each user, so replacing that url while accessing a fixed server is apart of the process.

Hey @MarkxG If you’re gonna be without service during this “server swap”…just go down Troy’s list & set up a free trial each day your normal service is down…who knows, you may find one you like more.

You can add an epg separately and then assign it to your playlists. Use the combined epg. It is a pretty good one and the developer, (DeltaSr)is very active in updating it.

Btw, once you entered in your m3u and clicked next. That will take you the the epg page and you can type in the epg there and it will auto assign itself.

If you have epg then just click next and done.

Also, assign all epg urls to all playlists for more complete population of guides.

Klowd is now included in the combined and a few others are soon to be added. Just make sure to refresh your combined playlist and epg

Tx Mr. PF. Appreciated as always.

okay this is kind of Hazy for me how you add the EPG’s and then assign them to multiple playlists. Have not used tivimate enough to understand how to do this yet but i think I get the concept being that the more EPG’s you have the more a Playlist’s EPG will be populated. I just need to figure out how to populate everything since I’ve not entered an EPG yet just a few combined. Thanks again PF!
