I have been running a pendant firestick for several years now and it was running just fine last night as I faded into sleep. But when I tried to start it this morning it was totally dead. I have replaced the batteries in the remote, unplugged and replugged the power and HDMI to no avail. Does anyone know another trick to wake it up?
Try unplugging the power cord and wait a few seconds then plug it back in.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I have done that many times, both the firestick and the TV.
Is there a reset tab somewhere on that thing?

Here’s one more thing to try.
Cycle the available resolutions on your Fire TV device by pressing and holding the Up and Rewind buttons together for five seconds. Allow your device to cycle through all available resolutions.
You could try holding the select button and the play button at the same time that usually restarts a fire stick for around 10 seconds

I have moved it to a different TV and the one that was in the second TV to the first TV and it didn’t work in the second TV either while the FS from the second TV works just fine in the first TV so the problem is definitely in the FS. No reset button.

It’s not the remote if it’s not even starting the power on cycle.
Hi Sktn77a, it was working fine Friday nite and Saturday morning it was dead. Nothing, de nada. Then I tried it on a second TV and that didn’t help, still dead. Then I took the FS that was on the second TV and put it on the first TV and the second FS worked just fine on the first TV. So it isn’t the TV or the power supply, it has something to do with the FS or the remote. !@)(&!@(%^& I appreciate your comment, keep thinking on it. How do you turn the FS on without a remote?
Install a remote for the stick on your phone.

Try a different power cable or check the cable out on another device if you can.
Maybe could be the power transformer USB is plugged into. Maybe try swapping it with your fire stick one might work. Or if you have it plugged into your TV USB the setting could have turned off inTv settings.My Vizio They keep reverting my quick start setting back to Eco mode. I’ve got the old firebox still working but a lot of times I had to unplug the power from it. Hope I’ve helped.
