Hello all! I’ve been into cutting the cord for a while but only dipped 1 or two toes in the pool. The way things are going for me, combined with streaming prices, content removal, media monopolies etc etc I’m diving in now and inviting all i know to join! Ive always tried help people I know, save money on the cable industry being such a rip off. With its never ending fees and inability to customize, it’s way beyond time for cable to go away. Found Troypoint this week and have learned so much, this seems like a great community and would love to learn more and learn how I could help best spread the word. Now more than ever IMO they really don’t deserve our money.
If anyone can help guide me along I’d really appreciate it, thank you troypoint for what you all do.
I’d like to ask some noob questions if I may, where would I do that? Search results have not yielded what I’m looking for.

Welcome. You can usually categorize the topic that your question is about and seach for that. Then ask your question in the most applicable result.

Have definitely been mulling it over, unfortunately $80 isn’t an insignificant amount of money for me the moment I’m embarrassed and sorry to say lol. Would you all say it is worth it? I can’t imagine you’d say otherwise being patrons yourselves, but hoping I could read between the lines knowing you can’t elaborate. So….like a YouTube video about IPTV providers could someone be as vague as possible in explaining their experience in becoming a patron? If I’m going to lie to my wife about what I spent 80 bucks on, I’d like to know it was 80 bucks well spent! Thanks for your time.
I can surely understand your concerns in difficult times. Many of us are experiencing the same.
I would say that if you come here, to the Insider, reading most all of the posts are free. There is an incredible amount of information at your fingertips. Using the search function can typically get you what you are looking for. Plus you can subscribe to the Troypoint site (which is the upper left column) which offers an incredible amount of information from a trustworthy source. But if you want to be part of the community that answers questions, share knowledge and help others then the cost may be well worth it. It’s a great, friendly group here. And Troy and Miki keep everything going in a congenial way so we all get along like a family.

First off, Welcome to the greatest streaming info supplier on the planet, Troypoint Insider.
I became a patron here 4 years ago and to your question, was it worth it? For me I’d need to write an essay on how many ways the Insider changed my life. There’s a whole lot of really friendly and helpful people here that will give you alot of guidance on this journey. Troy has so many helpful video tutorials that walk you through step by step and make it really easy for beginners to try new things. I think your wife won’t worry about the initial cost in a year from now when if it’s anything like my personal experience, you’ll have saved thousands.

@Cyclops85…. for me, this Dec will be 5 years as a Patron here on Troy point, so yes, $$ well spent, with a quick return (1 month) on investment in $$ saved on cable tv bills….and I have to echo the statements by @JerryJ and @PapaS….tons of articles and reviews to ponder, with many videos as well….if your willing to learn this is the place so the choice is yours, dip that whole foot in an when ya get stumped lots of folks willing to help….

I echo what both @PapaS and @itzme said and would also like to emphasize that we are more like a family than any other site I’ve ever seen. We work hard to steer clear of the negative and stress HELP. Things like no politics and no demeaning others. We all get a genuine kick out of helping and revel in your successes. These are just some of the things, in addition to the amazing effort Troy goes to, to provide Tutorials and videos, that add to the community.
