Thanx Troy. Mine started stopping and stuttering towards the last half of program. I’ll check this out
I attemtped several times to download MX Player Pro and I keep getting an error of There was a problem parsing the package. I’m on a Mecool device. Play protect is off. Any ideas or suggestions?
Hello, if you’re running a VPN, try turning that off temporarily while you install the app. We’ve seen a lot of people having problems lately with Downloader and VPN active.
Troy, thanks for quick reply, checked and my vpn was already off.
Not sure if it makes a difference but when I find the MX player in the toolbox it says MX Player Pro with Codecs. In your video when you find it, it says MX Player Pro 1.86.0 with codecs?
No, I just renamed it after the video as I was going back and forth between versions trying to find the best. The one that is listed is still 1.86.0.
Fyi. MXPlayerPro doesn’t seem to work well on my P6L. After around the 15 minutes of play I get a white buffer loading spinning circle. Seems to just end and the vid play, for a brief second, play for a minute and buffer yet again. I tried the VLC 64 bit but it simply kicks me back out to the source selection for what I am watching. Exoplayer works for the most part with the odd sound glitch, a couple of seconds without sound. I tested the libVLC and it seemed to work, but I need to test further. The problem seems to arise on the 4k HDR selections. 1080p seems ok. More to come.
Now you have me thinking Troy…I hadn’t noticed any video stuttering on stremio but I have experienced my headphones dropping audio for seconds at a time. Had to turn them off and on again only to find the audio was now out of sync with the video. I’m gonna guess that is related to the same issue you discussed. I have used Nova video player for years and always had great results with it. I’ll try it tonight to see if it resolves the audio issues. Nova video player is free on the google play store app for any that may want to give it a try.
I’ve only ever used the internal exoplayer and never experienced any issues with it at all. I’ve been using Onn devices for 1 1/2 years now.
The only issue I have with it on the P6L is the odd sound loss for two to three seconds. Switched to the libVLC, the other native player, in the Stremio settings. So far that seems to have fixed the issue for me.
I watched a bit on stremio last night. I set use external player in the settings and used both nova and vlc player. I was also using bt headphones. I didn’t experience any audio dropouts but I did have to adjust the audio delay settings. Will experiment a bit more tonight.
Thanks for the recommendation. Since seeing your post I played around with Nova player over last few days and it works well. Also works well with subtitles. Since this player is supported by Amazon App store you don’t have to allow access in settings. Tried MX player and had issues with getting subtitles. Also you may have to change the codec for the video to play properly. I’ve tried VLC in past and had issues with audio video sync and choppy video when enabling subtitles.
awesome, very glad to hear it worked well for you.
Installed this yesterday.I’m pleased with it so far.
Thanks for this! I tried MX Pro but had buffering straight away. Nova working great with no issues so far.
When using Nova, Stremio doesn’t keep track of the episodes I have watched.
Try using the libVLC engine in the settings for the player. That solved all my problems. 64Bit VLC just wouldn’t work at all for me, or the MX Player Pro.
I will try that thanks.
