This morning I was watching tv on my 4K Max and all of the sudden a pop up came on my screen and said there was a software update for my device. It asked if I wanted to install it now or remind me later. I chose remind me later. Can anyone advise me whether that was the correct choice? Thanks
That’s up to you. If I am busy or watching something. I may tell it to remind me later. If I have nothing going on. Then I will go ahead and install it right then.
Btw, some people like to wait and see what other people think of an update before they decide to install it. Although eventually somebody has to be the first to install.

Yep, exactly what PF said. Update when it is most convenient for you. BTW, there are many here that will fight against these updates, but unless you have a great reason, or great plan, to keep these held at an older version, just update it within a reasonable amount of time after they pop up.
Did the update and have had no issues. Can still remap the buttons. Not an issue for now.

Haven’t ever seen a popup asking if I wanted to update anything on a firestick. This usually happens in the background when the firestick is not in use(?)
