Will someone tell me what this newly added “offload” does on a Firestick? I am not a techie just a old retired welder.

It’s a new feature that disables an app that’s not been used in awhile. You can disable it. If an app gets disabled just go to your Apps library and click on it it will add it back. It doesn’t get rid of it completely, just part, keeps the data. Search on here for more info, Hope this helps. 
I have discovered that my Downloader app and VLC Player app have both been offloaded. When I try to downloaded them, it just shows “Queued” and nothing happens. Any ideas on how to re-install these 2 apps?
