Firestick in unending loop

Firestick was working perfectly…then…
I open my firestick, it goes to the home page and after a few seconds it changes th the following.
l I got a pop up that states "Optimizing system storage applications…This will take approx. 10 minuets. THEN Amazon logo center of screen, THEN No signal detected, THEN this loop starts all over again. I have tried this in multiplke HDMI ports.
If I unlpug the firestick from power it goes back to the home page for a few sec, and repeats the loop
I have tried the freset steps and nothing happens, it continues the loop
Is my firestick becoming a door stop?

This video has a couple suggestions. Maybe one will help you without having to factory reset.

I changed the power supply and stopped also try changing the wire that goes to the power supply to the fire stick it also could be if you have USB extra storage OTG tried disconnecting that and run straight into the fire stick before you reset try that

I appreciate all the advice. Yesterday, the next step I was going to do was change the power cord them maybe the power adapter. Before doing that, I watched the above video. Noticed the picture of the power adapter was not the same as the one I received with the fire stick. I had bought the fire stick used. Was ready to go to Amazon and buy the OEM adapter, but I have a few iPhone adapters with the same voltage, so I connected it up and turned the sucker back on. The same loop started again, but other advice in the video said maybe let it run all day or night and may fix itself. Before I switched to do something else I said WTF let’s try the reset function, so I held the right side of the select circle and the back button for about 10 seconds, nothing happened, went back to regular TV for about 1/2 hour. Then just FTF of it before I turned everything off went back to see how far the loop was, and BINGO all was up and fixed, so all is well with me! Hope this thread helps others. Thanks again!

I tried everything except a factory reset. Then I changed the batteries in the Firestick remote and voila! No more rebooting.
