when I plug-in my 4k stick it freezes on “optimizing system storage and applications”. how do I get past this?

There are a few reasons this may happen. Make sure you are plugged directly into a house electric circuit and not a USB port on the TV. Completely remove the Stick from your power and unplug it from the HDMI port. Unplug the power from your TV. Reboot your modem, plug the TV back in, if possible use another Firestick brick and power cord as well as an HDMI extension. Plug it back into a different HDMI port, preferably the ARC one. Then fire it all back up and your error should be cleared. Let us know please.

Miki, I tried you’re suggestions. After it looked like it optimized I can’t get it to do anything.
It won’t start at all?
Unplug everything let it sit for 10 mins, plug it back in and try again, use the power adapter it came with the stick.
