Favorite movie of 2024?

Seems like there have been some stinkers so far this year.In light of that what is your favorite movie so far in 2024?

Seems like apes and overgrown lizards have been the most enjoyable to me.
Godzilla X Kong
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Last stop in Yuma County
Shin Godzilla

were some of my faves.

Haven’t watched a whole lot of movies mainly shows but the new Beach Boys documentary is very good. There was also a good one recently called Back to Black - biographical drama about Amy Winehouse

I didn’t watch the Beach Boys but I did watch the Amy Winehouse biographical drama which was good and sad for her.

I was boycotting Bad Boys; due to Will Smith conduct during that award show. But, end up watching last week with my nephew. I must say I really enjoyed it.

I’ve been boycotting Hollywood since my first firestick.

Dont really pay attention to when the movies come out anymore. Just when there is a good stream available.

I’ll keep watching this thread for recommendations. Keep’m coming!

I don’t boycott HollyWeird but I sure don’t endorse it either.

It’s been over 10 years since the last movie theater trip for me.

For me, the best movie I have seen this year is “Land of Bad”. It didn’t do very well at the box office but is doing much better in the streaming world.

My absolute fave was based on a true story Arthur The King. Watched it 3 times so far. It isn’t anything to do with the Arthurean legend either.

Not watched a lot but I did enjoy the rehash of Dune 1 & 2

As far as Godzilla, Planet of and Yuma county, just old films rehashed that don’t interest me, so yes a fair few stinkers this year.

Probably Watch Deadpool and Wolverine, just for the hell of it, given I do like Ryan Reynolds acting.

As far as others are concerned, I keep looking but nothing leaps out at me as being sparkling, but then again someone on here may have a good review of something, Hopefully.

My opinion, this year has been a very bad year for really good movies. Hollywood has started going Woke with focusing on social and political issues. Not for me! I have ended up focusing on good mini series and series in general that don’t focus on these issues so much.
