I installed fast task killer on my nvidia shield pro (ty troy) but it does not show up for me to put it on my favorites bar… nor under apps at top of screen.
I have to go to settings and see all apps to find it.
Isn’t it suppose to have a button i can add to favorites bar like on firestick? heck even a blank box would be nice
You can’t click on it in settings and move it? Excuse my response I don’t have an Android box?
Two ways to resolve your issue. #1. Just make a short cut using the “TV App Repo”. It is very easy to do and will allow you to place the shortcut app into your favorites. #2. Go to your apps and open “Background Apps & Processing List”. Now you see all the apps that running bin your background and can close any and all you want. I never close the "Fast Task Killer and the Mouse Toggle apps and leave them to run in the background. Now on your Nvidia remote all you have to do is just double click your “Home” button and all app you have opened will appear on your TV screen. Then just click your right/left button to go to each app and then click the down button to dismiss each app. Don’t dismiss the "Background Apps and Process list app. When hovered on that app click your okay button and it will open that app. Now all apps running in the background will be shown. You will see your “Fast Task Killer” app also. Close all the apps you wish to close and then just highlight the Fast Task Killer app and press your OK button. This will open the app’s settings and then just click the open button and the app will display all the apps it just killed running in the background.
The 2nd way is what I do because I clear apps running in the background, force stop, and clear cache for each one. It helps in doing the daily general maintenance that we should all be doing to help in eliminating some buffering issue.
Just remember not to close/force stop your Background app and to leave the Fast Task Killer app on. Then from that point on just a simple double click on your home button will automatically bring up your Fast Task Killer app, too.
no it doesn’t let you create shortcuts but does allow you to open, fore close, clear cache and data or uninstall
wow ty for this answer … i will have to try this asap!
Install the Sideload Launcher App from the Google Playstore. It’s an App drawer that houses all of your sideloaded App’s. Meaning, any sideloaded apps that don’t show up (Fast Task Killer, VirusTotal, etc.) in the regular app list will appear here. Then make the Sideload Launcher App a favorite for easy access on the main Home Screen.
ANOTHER AWESOME IDEAL!!
ty
powerfader i do not see anything under apps for Background Apps & Processing List.
up top or under settings/app on my nvidia shield pro
Thank you friend… I have needed this…
It’s an app you need to download.
ohh. ok i feel less smart… lol
You have to install a custom launcher to get the app to show up on home screen like the other apps and be able to add it to your favorite apps list
Just so everyone is on the same page. Two different apps have been mentioned. #1 “Fast Task Killer” which is what I believe the OP was talking about and #2 Background Apps and Process list".
Have fun and STREAM ON.
