Are you curious how to begin or just tired of Kodi? This article should be required reading! I admit that I’ve tried Kodi and it’s difficult. Thanks to Troy and many Insiders I watch free and cheaply using Stremio, Nuvio & Weyd. There’s a lot more and it’s easy. [Bootstrapper app]
Appreciate you sharing! We just updated that one the other day
Curios, I have the Ultimate Stremio Setup guide it is from April of this year is it good? Or has it been updated since then? Don’t want to request it if the copy I have is good.
Thx!!!
LOL Been using KODi for 10 years. Dying? IMO it’s better now than it ever was. Umbrella, The Crew, Gears, etc…Lightening fast with Cocoscrapers
Awesome Thank You as always much appreciated!!!
That is just a taste of what Troy has. If you use the search ![]()
you’d be surprised all the info out there. Between Nuvio and Stremio someone could spend a couple of weeks compiling instruction manuals with all the links to Troy’s stuff and threads on the insider.
No, Kodi isn’t dying. If all you do is stream and you are extremely tech adverse, then I can see the advantage of Stremio. However, we utilize Kodi for other uses besides streaming outside content.
Kodi is still great for streaming don’t get us wrong. But statistically (search volume & usage) it is dying.
Yes, Kodi is a little more involved to set up (but not much, compared to Stremio), a little slower to use, and is still at the mercy of addons going down. But its a great backup when Stremio, Flixvision, Cineplus, Filmplus, etc, etc, are having issues. Definitely keep it on the radar and installed/updated for those “troubled” times. And remember, probably none of us would be here if it weren’t for Kodi, back at the turn of the century!
I think Kodi is far from dying . I use it to watch sports daily . There may be alternatives and everyone has their preference but as long as build and addon developers are still producing links to content it is far from dead.
Kodi is undefeated the only times things changes if devs get tired of dealing with the BS of maintaining things while receiving tons of messages from people requesting sh!t like what they already provide for free isn’t enough or if a dev dies. Devs that create everything on Kodi receive nothing in return but a bunch of ungrateful people being disrespectful. But I think other options have become more popular because it’s less setup work than Kodi but overall Kodi still has more features and capabilities than the other apps. Plus there aren’t any free versions of stremio you have to have subscriptions to add to the app or risk using torrents
Stremio has tons of free stuff and actually doesn’t need any money for it or it’s addons. But just Like Kodi, if you want quality sources you need a Debrid service. Kodi is indeed a proven media hub.
Great point a lot of people new to the streaming world look at KODI as being a lot of work and don’t want to do it and they end up in a continuous loop of rotating from one failed Crap App to the next Crap App.
KODI has stood the test of time
I mean, I don’t think Kodi is going to go anywhere. Like Nuvio is the new hotness, but core/libre elec is going to keep kodi relevant for years to come.
Always some haters. Maybe it’s time I do another video to cover recent changes. I’m still using Kodi with Real Debrid just fine.
@Jayhawks659 I still refer to your Start2Finish video, which is probably the best tutorial I’ve ever accessed, no disrespect to TP. A followup or an updated S2F would be most welcome.
@TP-Ryan AFA usage, do you mean accessing Insider or do you mean utilization for streaming? AFA search volume, Kodi apologists have been blessed with several addons which scrape quickly and have been very reliable for years on end. If something works, there’s no need for a snipe hunt.
Amen! And thank you again for a tutorial I have referred to many times in the past.
“If something works, there’s no need for a snipe hunt.” @elginherd, my thoughts exactly.
Kodi is much much easier to set up than Stremio.
