EPG issues (yea, I know)

Ok I know this has been discussed at nauseum but I have read through everything I can find here, Googled it etc and I’m about to slam my head against the wall! I can’t get ANY epg url to work in tivimate. I’m using strong 8k. I received an epg from Amber, I got another from myepg. The entries ARE correct. None will work. I have tried to update so can ‘assign’ them but I get an error message stating “update failed, make sure epg url is correct and check your internet connection” I have tried ‘clearing EPG’ then updating, no go. Tried clearing cache in tivimate, logging out and back into tivimate. Even tried doing all that with the VPN turned off. I am fairly new to this stuff but tech savvy. I also have smarters installed and tried it in that app just to help me troubleshoot. Amber’s epg DOES work in it (although not very thorough). The one from myepg does not. It won’t update but at least this tells me Amber’s link is correct. I would much rather use tivimate. I’m pretty sure the problem lies with me but I’m at wits end. HELP plz!

I am running Strong 8K on an ONN 4K Box on Tivimate with MyEPG and everything is working fine. Have you looked at the instructions on how to use MyEPG with Tivimate on the myEPG website? Also double check that your myEPG URL’s match 100% in Tivimate as MyEPG. That is the only thing I can think of

TY for the response! I DID read their instructions but I am going to look again & check that the URL I’m entering is exactly correct. I read somewhere about clearing the ‘data’ in tivimate, not just cache but data so I just did that so…..I am starting from scratch again. Good opportunity to start fresh I guess. I will know in a bit of anything improves.

Change your DNS server from your IP to one you choose like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1

You did pay for the premium version of Tivimate, right?

Tivimate allows you to enter supplemental epg sources. I found just adding the free sources to Strong made a huge difference.

I just bought strong and also bought the additional epg from myepg- makes a world of difference. While I was in my account, the developer added a new beta link for strong and you can access it on their discord page- he is using a whole new interface. I plugged that one in and it works like a charm. Maybe try that one if he still has it up on telegram

Thanks for the beta links. Also using Strong with MyEPG. Did you delete your original myEPG sources and replace with the beta sources or just add the beta ones in addition to what you already have?

I just plugged all of them in- world, EU, and the original epg that came with strong. So I have 5 sources running in that Playlist, lol. I didnt set a default, and changed the source priority to- beta world, beta EU, normal links world, EU, and then strong as last. So far so good. Channel descriptions for channels that always said “no information”. I haven’t tried using it on my other IPTV Playlist though

So I tried everything suggested and nothing worked but….I changed from xtreme code to m3u and then I had about 1/2 the channels show up in the epg??? BUT now new problem. Had a glitch with our electricity this morning and now NO service at all! WTH??? Anybody seen this before? I’m back to the drawing board!

So @Susieq007 , does everything in your setup power back on after the electric hic-up …..all the apps are there and credentials are still there ….

When you have a power glitch like that, the best thing you can do is shut everything down and disconnect from power, TV, Sound system, Streaming box and modem/router, also unplug your HDMI from the TV. Wait for say 5 minutes, then plug it all back in. Then start your modem first. Wait for it to cycle through its system handshake and when it’s active fire up the rest of your system. That should clear the Stack State and give it all a clean start.

The apps are there but credentials? I’m not sure what you mean…the setting, urls etc? They’re there.

When I try to update playlist it fails??
