Encrypt developer options and Bootloader?

Kinhank G1 Android 11 box has a new system update titled “Added HDR adaptive switch”. The description for this update states " For system security, encryption has been applied to developer options and the bootloader."
I suspect that this is something I don’t want to do since I have apps which use the ABD link.

Can anyone help with advice on this topic?

Basically it sounds like its been locked to prevent tampering. You would need to root the box if the boot switch is greyed out…and since dev opts are locked you cant even see that. Not sure why a china box would do that tho. Have you tried to enable developer options?

edit…ok after some coffee, its an update stating that…hmm still I wonder why and no I wouldnt take that update.

From their facebook page - on vacation from October 1st to October 7th. Our team will not be available to respond to inquiries during this time. However, Feel free to contact us at [support@kinhank.com], and we’ll get back to you as soon as we return.

Following the link it looks like dev options does get locked with the new update and you need to contact kinhank support for the fix. Unfortunately Support is on Vacation until Oct. 8.
So I will not be updating until I have a fix in my hand.
