Hi all - I just went through Troy’s awesome guide on setting up YouTube in Kodi (suddenly got errors trying to watch trailers this year). His site is here: How to Install YouTube Kodi Addon on Firestick, Fire TV, and Android TV
Couple of issues I noticed and was able to fix:
- On step 11 - you MUST name the application the same as you did in Step 3 or you will get an error
- There was no “Other” category so I selected TV on Step 14
- Step 24 - There was 1 small step that he didn’t mention so I though I would put it here - you have to change the Publishing Status from Testing to “In Production” otherwise it will not work.
TRAILERS WORK AGAIN IN KODI WOOHOO!!!
Thanks for posting link, may try it again if I can find a couple of free days to fool with it again.I actually once went thru all that stupidity and think I got it to work on Kodi for awhile, but then changed build or something so didnt bother with it again.I can do without it for all that trouble. And think if you try Magic Dragon under new releases, the trailers still work, for me anyway.Sadly I can remember when I had it installed on Kodi and could click on it and actually search for movies and such without going thru all that mess.

It is definitely one of the more lengthy solutions - the worst part was the LONG key and client ID.
I’m just happy it worked - it was getting annoying to switch to my Youtube APK and running a search for the trailer I wanted to see instead of just going to Info and Trailer from the KODI apk
