There is no reason from what I can see that you can’t do that but you must of course have the app that you’re streaming on your internal stick because the moment you eject it, the app is gone.
You could use 2 usb drives formatted according to app storage or recordings. You could eject one and load another. However, those drives cannot be read by other devices and only read by the stick that loaded the apps or recordings.
Hope you’re ok? Next you can explain what a ssd drive is, if you’re up for it
I totally understand hospital surprise invoices. I have had more than my share and continue to receive huge invoices every month with no end in sight. Whatever happen to the golden years. I am sorry to hear you are in the same boat.
a storage device containing nonvolatile flash memory, used in place of a hard disk because of its much greater speed.
Tx unknown. Appreciate your understanding and I’m sorry you’re in the same boat. Very stressful and really sucks.
Health first! Hospital bills later, hospitals wiil negotiate from personal experience.
Thx for the info
As you say happy streaming
I totally get it Miki. I have been fighting multiple health problems for five years how. There is no end in sight for me. It really totally sucks.
I had colon cancer been fighting it for 2 years good news is I’m winning I am cancer free as of right now my wife also had cancer she just had surgery on her kidney they say they got it all will know more after her CT scan cancer sucks
Yes, it does. Along with Peripheral Artery Diease, Leukemia and Neuropathy. Yet, America keeps sending millions and millions and millions of our tax dollars to other countries. I don’t see any good changes in my lifetime. I am sorry to here about you and your wife troubles. Keep fighting the good fight.
And no moving parts. I use them in all my computers and backup hard drives.
Praying for better days for all of you guys. Stay Strong!
Thanks, guys, for all your information. Troy might want to do a video on this way to move movies (an he may already have) to your internal memory on an Android device. I have an old (2018/8.1) H96 Max 64Gb box. I downloaded ADM Pro from my Unlinked app as well as the FilmRise + movie/tv app. Pick a movie and a low Gb (just above or below 1Gb) and use the “download to ADM” instead of play. At this point, a box comes up that allows you to delete the mpg4 file name and name the movie instead. After that, back out of the keyboard and press “Start” in the lower right corner of the box. You can then immediately go back to ADM and see if it is downloading. You will need mouse control in the ADM app. You can adjust how many movies ADM will store and how many movies you can download at the same time. I’d suggest doing them one-at-a-time since sometimes you receive an error message about the download. Be patient, downloads take several minutes unless you have a rocket-speed internet connection. Mine was only 50. So far, I have downloaded ten movies and they stream perfectly. With ten moves downloaded, I still have 19Gb of memory available on my 64G drive. By the way, in settings, the Storage doesn’t show you how much of your drive has been used. You have to use More (further down the llist) and then scroll down to settings to get the amount used. Plenty of movie time for when I’m on the road or in RV parks with low internet download speeds. It was a learning experience with ADM Pro but once you fiddle with it for awhile, you get great results. I’m still hoping for a fix for downloading movies on a FireStick. I am using FilmRise + because it is the only movie that had “download to ADM” listed.
Cinema and Bee only have “download to cllipboard” as options and I don’t know where to go from there. Thanks to all of you who have responded (especially Wizzard). You’ve encouraged me to keep trying even though I’m not a techie.
This has gotten more complicated than it needs to be. Firstly, don’t mess around with internal memory if you’re constantly going to be downloading movies. External removable storage would be the way to go. Either a SSD or USB flash drive. I’d make sure it doesn’t need an external power source. If that means you need to use flash drives then you can get them in pretty big sizes now or you can buy a bunch of them and keep them in a case. For this reason, I would not use a fire stick but instead use a device with a built in USB port. When I travel I like to have a few things downloaded. I have found that using the Real Debrid and JDownloader method is the most reliable. I have Kodi setup to only find cached torrents, which also makes downloading easier. You only need to play the source on your TV for a minute or two before you refresh the real debrid download page on your web browser. The link should then show up to download. I’ve ventured down this path before and I can tell you that it’s a major pain in the a$$ to try to download stuff directly onto your device.
The problem here that is still trying to be worked out, is that some want to download directly to external memory on a FS. To date, even though asked many times, not one person has chimed in saying they have actually been able to do it. For sure ADM won’t. You simply cannot change your download folder to the external one even though it can see it. Until told otherwise, I have to believe, it’s not possible. Only moving files yourself or using it for apps seems possible right now. Again, not one person has chimed in saying, YES, I can use a streaming app and send the download to my external memory. Hoping someday it’s possible.
Maybe it’s time for a video from Troy or Curiosity Cafe on your procedure. I know what Downloader is but JDownloader? Refreshing your Real Debrid download page for a minute or two after playing the source on your TV? This may be simple but I would need a step-by-step tutorial explanation of this routine. Thanks for your input!
JDownloader is just a download manager. It’s not mandatory in the process.
The steps are really this simple:
- Watch something for a couple minutes.
- Open a web browser and go to real-debrid.com
- Go to the downloads page, find the movie or show you just watched, click download.
- Put the file on your flash drive.
- Plug flash drive into your streaming device.
- Use a file manager program to open the file or use a media player like VLC and open the file from there.
This is definitely the best way to go. Search for the list of Best Torrent Sites in TroyPoint. Then use the sites ON YOUR PC BROWSER to search for and download movies and tv shows, using a BitTorrent app. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR VPN IS ON WHEN DOWNLOADING, OR YOU’LL GET A NASTY LETTER FROM YOUR ISP. When you have downloaded a movie to the PC, save it to a hard drive or USB. Plug the drive directly into a USB port on the TV and play from there. No buffering to worry about.
I’ve addressed this before. No need to move anything as I downloaded torrents for years and you can just stream them right from your PC using a free media server and there are lots out there.
Then just use an app on your firestick that does DLNA and stream it. Use Xplore. It does DLNA no problem.
And when you’re in an RV park with no internet you still have to have your own router to connect your TV to your computer and have both devices turned on. I think you’re missing the point here. If you’re going to have a server running you may as well just download stuff on a laptop and then screen cast or plug into the TV with an HDMI cable.
