I inadvertently uninstalled Downloader on my Firestick 4k max… I have attempted to download it from the App store and it is not available… is there another way to get it? I tried to download it on silk as well but get the same message.

cannot get downloader app on new onn android box. only shows downloader for tv app. where else can I get bit?
I can get the app on my other devices but not on this particular one. Is the box defective or are my settings incorrect?
Use the search option above. There are a bunch of posts about Downloader problems in the past that may help you.
Not sure if this is a solution but…Are you using a vpn? If so try turning it off.
thank you for the suggestion. even with the vpn off, if I use the search function for downloader, I only get the downloader for tv app. I found a way of getting it by going to the tools app category where it showed up. strange— the search function would not show surfshark either but again showed up in the tools category

No problem. Just make sure its the AFTNews version. I know there was mention of a knockoff in the past.

I bought a couple more ONN 4K streaming boxes. Google has it’s own DOWNLOADER program and of course none of the codes work with it.
Do you know how to install the AFT Downloader on this ONN?

I am curious why it is not showing up on your device. I have it on my Onn devices in Playstore.

Hello, try this.
On your remote hit the microphone button and say, “Open Google Play”. Once Play Store opens, search for Downloader and make sure you choose Downloader by AFTV News.
There is a bug in Android TV that prevents search from working properly at times.

A founding member said to do this. and IT WORKED.

I’m trying to get downloader by atftvNews for my windows PC.
I looked up how…and my search said to download it via BlueStacks. Anyone know if this is THE ONLY way?
Yes it’s an android apk so you would need an emulator for windows like bluestacks .
I haven’t used WinDoze in a lot of years, but doesn’t win11 have the ability to play Android apps? S-mode or something if I remember correctly. Ahh I just searched here and found the articles saying support for Android apps in Win 11 ended in March 2024.
