Downloader not compatible with Android device, but compatible with Android TV

I just received your latest Insider. Downloader was an easy install on firetvstick 4k. But, the play store and also AFTV said it’s not compatible with an Android box, just an Android tv. Previously I had it installed on both my Android boxes. Is there a work around? Thanks
