when you type in the troypoint website or add /tb to the url it gives a 404 NOT FOUND error… I finally got “Downloader” to show up but it does the same thing on it that it does on the Purple Downloader.
Downloader is available in the playstore not sure what "Purple’ downloader means.
What is the url you are entering in downloader that isnt working?
downloader in the playstore is NOT giving a browser window… The new ONN box has Android 12 on it. I am suspecting this is the prob
TROYPOINT Toolbox or the spelled out version … or the 250931 code it self.

Can you take a picture of what you mean? My onn pro is using android 12 and not having any problems.

I have downloader no problem on two Onn’s. I will have a pro in the near future. I had one brought back from the USA for me.

I just setup the exact same device last week and it gave me no probs. But it will not work the new downloader and when I downloaded and installed downloaded using brotvbrowser it won’t go to Troypoint website. I finally got the tp version of downloaded on it. But it will not go to tp. I’ll post a pic
TROYPOINT Toolbox or without tb and downloader will not give a url to type into. I need a mouse pointer app maybe to click on it to try and see if that works

Edit: Ok yes I see the url automatically changes to the name
I have no idea unless your vpn might make a difference.

Mine too, and I setup one for a friend last week. I just got this one in today and tried to load it up. Think I’m going to factory reset and see if I can dodge the update first

I went through set up following Troy’s video but the prob is downloader on the play store doesn’t give a browser so I can’t get to Troypoint.com
From the play store it is “Downloader for TV” version 1.0.3
There isnt an option for Downloader by AFTVnews?
Downloader for TV is a different app.

yeah I know and and went to the link that some one posted earlier on here for downloader atfnews and I downloaded it and clicked to install it and it said you have no app to open it with to install it… SO>>> I am going to load it on a usb flash drive and see what that brings…
Hello, uninstall all Downloader apps that you have on your device then open Google Play Store and install Downloader by AFTV News…not the Downloader for TV. Then, input 250931 into the URL box of Downloader on the Home Page, not in the browser and hit go button.
I just tested and everything is working as it should. If running a VPN and still get error try temporarily turning it off.

So, if you just type in downloader on the play store… it will pull up Downloader for Tv it looks just like the app… if you type in the full name “Downloader by AFTVnews” it will pull up the correct app… but it doesn’t now pull it up with out typing the AFTV in there with the search… i just did this same set up last week and didnt have the prob… solved it’s working now… thanks

Glad it worked but but still confused why typing “Downloader” didn’t give the result for AFTnews.
