Is there a document for newbies that explain such thinks like what’s the difference between torrents and cloud? What some of the fields represent after a list of sites are populated? Etc.
Could you give us more detail? I assume you are using Kodi based on the title…what version. What addons or build are you using? Do you use Real Debrid?
For instance in Crew and in Seren I get the characteristics of the file in the upper right. What are they? Some I’m familiar with, like H.264 and HDR, but not familiar with the others.
Also, how can I get the same resolution of 1080P with a 0.64GB file size and a 4.13GB file size? Is there a bit-rate that is not made available?
Regarding Seren, (I can’t put 2 pics in the same post) during the search of the providers, there are columns of found files. “Torrent”, “Cached” and “Cloud”. What are the differences?
Thanks.
Long time KODI user and typically don’t get bogged down with these details. I get about 400 MB speed over WIFI so usually just choose the first stream and let it rip. 4K and 1080P in almost all cases. I’m fine with either. Even 720 if that’s all that is there
I’m a compare and contrast kind of learner. But I freely admit this: nothing I have read nor studied on the vast myriad of topics necessary to truly reach “off the cord Nirvana” holds up to the way Troy explains things. I’m sure others are good teachers for other type of learners, but for me I stick with what works. Here, my fellow Troypointians, is another Kodi learning link to peruse at you leisure: Beginner's Guide to Kodi: Everything You Need to Know in 2023! - TechNadu
I hope it helps someone, and please try as I do, compare and contrast and see if that helps get you started on the path to blissful de-cording!
Thanks guys. Very helpful docs. The reason I ask about the difference in file sizes is that my service provider has a 1.2TB monthly limit. I was wondering if the file size mattered.
