I stopped using, configuring and selling Firesticks. Been almost a year now. Even a die hard Fire OS user like myself, who once highly recommended Amazon products has been pushed over the brink. Now I no longer use them at all. This attitude from Amazon is counter productive and ensures they will have a declining footprint in the market. Makes no sense to me but then I’m not a billionaire without any care for my customers. The writing is on the wall and clearly says, “we don’t care, we do what we want, and you should know that by now.”
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.Kind of fits here imo.Amazon has gotten way too big for their britches,so has google,and too many others to list.
Did use firestick on all my tvs but am transitioning away. I have a couple ONNs that I like much better at this point!

Same here, I have 4 firesticks, lately my one in the living room have been running very slow and I have to reboot all the time now to make it run better ( yes I have been closing all apps when not using) I have a Onn box coming this weekend and plan on setting this one up using the guide here. Next I think I will try the Mecool MK2 Plus Deluxe as this box is also Google approved. been reading lots of posts about the spyware possibilities in non Google approved boxes and don’t’ want to get a box that could have this on it.
