I have two different 4K firesticks. On both they have recently started getting the message unable to connect to Disney plus. I did restart as well as clear cache but still getting the same error code. Does anyone have this issue or know how to fix it

Hey, welcome to the community Casa.
Try disconnecting your VPN if you are using one.
If that solves your problem, then go into your settings and if you are able, select split tunneling, then select the app you are interested in
Then click your back button to get to your VPN Home Screen and reconnect. Now try connecting to your app and see if you can connect.

Its firesticks ever since the last major upgrade i have had nothing buy network isdues same as you are. Disney paramount half of them loses complete connection have to restart.

Your issue usually occurs if you have a Disney+ sub and are trying to access it from out of the country without a vpn. I’m not sure if the Disney+ sub limits the number of connected devices or is IP Locked. Now I highly recommend that you do get a vpn and give it another try with the vpn active. There are imho 4 top knotch vpns worth using

This sounds to me like Disney+ is the one stopping or blocking your connection to their service, so you might want to contact them play innocent, and ask them why, as they have full access to your account and it’s corresponding error logs.

I have the same issue (only) with my 4k Firestick and contacted Disney support to no avail. They tried to claim that it was a speed issue with my ISP, but my speed is well above their required minimum. I connected to a mobile hotspot and had no issue with Disney+. So it has to be something with that last Disney+ update and the ISP. Just my 2¢…
I have the same issue with Disney+ on all of my Firesticks. I went to the Disney+ app on my phone and just looked around a bit to make sure my account was ok, then suddenly I was able to sign in on my Firestick again. It happened a second time, I did the same thing with the app on my phone and it fixed whatever is happening on the Firestick again. This all started after the Firestick update. It doesn’t make any sense, but hand to God this is my experience.

As it’s a paid service on a verified device I don’t see why there would be issues.
It might be a bug in the software or updates that’s screwing it. I think Disney operates similar to Netflix for geo locks and such so make sure your within those guidelines, but it works for me on my wife’s sister’s stick.

I haven’t tried to contact them, but what I found that worked was if using a VPN, disconnect and then try connecting to the channel. When I did that, I got access to all the content, but the second I connected my VPN again, nope, no go.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I know someone above commented that they did call Disney plus and they said it was nothing on their end. Others have commented about having this issue after the firestick update. I believe it has to do with the firestick as my son tried accessing it through his xbox and had no issues. Thanks again for all these great suggestions. I am hoping it is fixed in next update if not I will try using another way to connect.
Might need to contact Amazon on it, if using a VPN turn it off.
It’s possible something bugged out. Firesticks have all the paid apps on there and should work as a verified device.
