Discovery Plus Geo Blocking even with VPN

This morning I was unable to login to My U.S. Discovery Plus account. I tried switching to alternate U.S. locations I used before but still no go. It was even forcing me to complete 2 puzzles to prove I was human. LOL. I pay for this service for my elderly mum. I did a little digging and found this article dated April 1st.

I emailed SurfShark to ask them to fix blacklisted servers.

In the meantime I rebooted my box. Connected VPN to New York. I am now able to login again.

A reminder that geo blocking comes and goes… these paid services are blocking this.

I’m using discovery plus with surfshark, no problems. right now on houston server

Yes mine is ok again now. It only happened once.

I had that happen before, blocked once then not :joy:…im worried discovery+ merger with hbo max is going to drive cost. I could care less for hbo

Yes I have no use for HBO max. As you can see that link I posted was dated April 1st so they must be doin more Geo Blocking.

the merger tells me hbo max cant stand on its own and needs to piggyback to get boosted up. Discovery+ is one of the few apps I dont mind paying for as its cheap and has most channels I like to watch.
