Differences between onn boxes (compared to Firesticks)

If you’re talking about the Onn remote. When you’re watching a video, the centre black button inside the white directional, or white inside the black if the regular 4k model acts as your pause.

Here names the cpu used in the plus version.

Thats not the plus model as it has a35 cores, thats more than likely the model with s905y4 cpu.

Sorry, yes I was referring to the remote not having a pause button.
I couldn’t find any reference to the center button acting as a pause, but I’ll for sure try that out. There was nothing in the “manual” as far as I remember.
Thanks for the heads up.

Center button on remote is the pause function

Like I mentioned before…As always , keep in mind that synthetic benchmarks don’t necessarily reflect a device’s real-world performance. These tests push devices to their limits, which rarely happens in real-world use. A device that scores twice as high in a benchmark is certainly not going to be twice as quick at everyday streaming tasks.

Thank you, found that out just now.

Thank you, you’re right it works!!
It would have been nice if that little detail was mentioned in the ‘manual’.

The Select button is always the pause button when there isn’t one.

Onn wired is 100Mbit Ethernet port - you should have no buffering.

If using vpn try different settings / locations

Same here. 10 years ago Ethernet was the way but now with High Speed Fiber Wireless is the way to go. Much faster than 100 MB limits on the ONN

Well, yes, but…………

You should get pretty close to 100Mbps with a ”fast ethernet” wired connection but, even with gigabit service, WiFi AC (what most people are using) can barely muster that on either 2.4 or 5GHz bands.

Well I’m not sure what WiFi AC is but I have T-Mobile home Internet and if I turn off SS I easily get 300-400mb down speeds according to Aniliti on Onn 4K Pro

I have 300 MB AT&T Fiber and always get at least 380-400MB on Wireless on Analiti

You’re getting 400Mbps on a 300Mbps account?

802.11AC WiFi (also known as WiFi 5) is the follow up to 802.11N WiFi. It is theoretically capable of speeds up to 1300mbps. In reality, after taking into account overhead and interference (not present in wired systems) best case scenario is about 300mbps, right up against the router antennas. Typical speed on the 2.4GHz band is 60-80mbps and 100-150mbps on the 5GHz band. Check it out on your WiFi connected firestick (settings>network>advance>speed test).

Yup always between 380-400 Mbps

My Canadian bought Onn 4K let me download Downloader but will not let me download Troypoint tool box. Error 403- Forbidden. I have Surfshark set to U.S. city. I can’t find any workaround info.

Any help is appreciated.
