While cleaning cache in applications/manage installed applications …a new app Device data store appeared…what is this and can I delete it to regain memory space as any cleared cache helps…
Never delete an unknown simply cause it could brick a device. Use device cleaners that are better at cleaning. Device data…to me anyways sounds important, someone can correct me if im wrong and fire devices are nott my thing.
I did a search for this a couple of weeks back and even on Amazon dev blogs there wasn’t any mention of it. I suspect it’s to store the data from a 3rd party app, that is needed to run that app, from an external storage device. But don’t quote me on that. Seems Amazon is being tight lipped about some of the new changes in OS 8.
I just did the latest update on my new Max today and see no such option. Device Data store that is?
Today firestick got new app in manage installed apps to clean seldom used apps but it keep data so it can be reinstalled …the app is turned ‘’on’’ in applications!.WTH is thia app
Yes just turn it off, also my bad on my earlier statement! Had forgotten I had already disabled Device data store using ES Explorer.
