Okay and besides getting Malwarebytes which I will not, how does one tell the difference?

I use the free Malwarebytes.

I mean I use one, after researching a bit also looks like recommendation is to turn “click to play” in whichever browser one uses to ASK FIRST if that’s not set to default already.
