I would be steering clear of the allwinner soc, i usually do but i was hypnotised by the great specs of the tx10 pro lol.
Im sure i use to have one with an amlogic soc.

I agree that Amlogic is better but most of the newer T95Z Plus boxes are specd out with Allwinner. Both my 6+ year old T95Z’s are Amlogic

That is correct, and a red flag and all I need to see to say stay away.

Oh crap, so the new t95z is out then?

If @TXRon says stay away, then I stay away. I always defer to TX when it comes to Chipsets as he knows way more than I do about them. Thanks @TXRon I almost pulled the pin.

Ok, thanks guys, the search continues.

It’s just the odds are stacked against you with allwinner boxes. It might be ok for a while but they are famous for over heating and considered by most to be the lowest of low in this type device.

You getting the itch for a new toy?

Whats ya budget?

My tx10 pro has arrived in port and is enroute, i should have it in the next few days and will post how things go.

Please let us know your wifi/ethernet speeds and if you can play 4K sources.

Mine must be on a raft slowly drifting to California from Yantian, CN. I think the October 31 delivery date might be pretty accurate but i hope not.

All this waiting and i am already expecting to be disappointed.

Im excited for it to come but not holding my breath lol. I seen a video on youtube that showed the storage as only about 3gb for app installs.

You bet I am. Of course my nVidia Pro is still doing very well but is beginning to show it’s age. More glitches are showing up and it definitely loads slower than it use to. I know many say that 16GBs of memory is all you really need, but my Pro only ever shows 12GBs available after the OS and trust me, that is no longer enough. Especially when you want to experiment with so many apps and properly learn how to help others. Kodi, for example, is a hugely diverse app and learning it, in it’s entirety, is a daunting task, but also one with many rewarding surprises, and a full on build with all that is possible quickly consumes space. Add the various options for apps like Stremio. Orion, Syncler Trakt, X-Plore and I can spend hours just enjoying the learning process only to discover I am quickly running out of space. Yes I can add a SSD to give me all the space I need, but with Droid 11 the storage issues became quite the challenge and believe me Droid 15 coming out soon is %100 worse. So now I find that a minimum of around 120 GB internal is where I might like to go. Don’t ya just love this hobby? :face_with_peeking_eye:

Yeh get ya Miki, we all want more ram and storage lol.

@Miki I know you are not a fan off the ONN 4K Pro but with 32GB storage that is more than I’ll ever need unless you record a lot but then you can add external storage I guess. I have no problem running Multiple KODI Builds and Forks and have all the space I need for Apps. As with a PC more RAM is always better but I’ve not run into issues.

Well if you have a need for a box that doesn’t play 4K sources and limits your wifi speed you may have a use. At worst your out $11

That one scares me a little.

I don’t use heavy builds but still am a little crammed with the onn 1, but I think I could get by easily with 16gb storage. Don’t really want to mess with external storage, on account of laziness I guess, lol.
