FYI The Crew put out a notice they are shutting down for good. They did one last update a few days ago, but stated that will be the last. They are offering up their addon to anyone who wants to continue support it going forward. They were solid for many years.
The Crew had a great run I used it for years and that is what opened my eyes up to IPTV. For a while their Live TV was flawless for like 2 years then when it stopped working I found out about paid IPTV.
RIP The Crew! You are right up there with Exodus
Too bad we can’t inherit Crew and make it the TP Crew add-on!
I just got off The Crew group on Teleqram . I posted about the Crew shutting down after the next update an this is the answer I got. ( Ahhhhh NO!!! )
Here’s another answer I got off the Crew group in Telegram. ( If you believe that then I have a bridge I want to sell you in BROOKLYN.) .
Oh shoot they were the best…
If it’s true, it will be missed. Such a good addon.
Don’t think so.
Do you mind sharing where you saw this message so we can confirm? Thanks
The Crew development team put the message out themselves on their Changelog. I clicked on the Changelog and read the message about a week ago. The message essentially stated they were no longer going to support the add-on going forward. Keeping the add-on updated became a lot of work and they weren’t willing to put the work into it anymore. If you scroll the Changelog you will be able to see it for yourself. I don’t have a virtual mouse so I can’t scroll older messages. I did note today that they updated their add-on to version 3.0.9.5, which was surprising since they stated previously they were no longer going to update it. I wouldn’t have put the message out if I hadn’t read their message directly. I realize there is at least one poster who doesn’t believe my post based upon his Reddit research. Reddit isn’t the most reliable source so I take what people say on that site with a grain of salt.
Interesting. Thanks for the heads up and we also just saw the recent update to V3.0.9.5 - How to Install The Crew Kodi Addon V3.0.9 (Latest Update)
My posts were from the Crew Telegram group.
How much for the Bridge

That’s just what one of the members said in the Telegram Crew group.
That telegram chat doesn’t even have any developers in it to my knowledge. If it’s the same one I was in.
Thanks for letting us know. Unfortunately with these unverified add-ons/apps there is no way to be 100% sure who the ‘official developers’ are so it’s hard to say what’s going on behind the scenes. We’ll try to keep everyone posted on what we find
As far as I’ve seen, The Crew has been unusable for quite some time now. I was a big fan of the addon several years back. But dumped it when it started having troubles. I then got hooked on the original Fen,but the developer gave up on that addon. It should be common knowledge that developers are basically hobbyists. So they are, in essence, working for free. I’ve found that when one developer closes up another one comes along and fills the gap.
It’s good to have several Kodi addons. I’ve actually found that if there is a movie/TV show that I just have to watch, that trying a different addon may have what I’m looking for even though they using the exact same scrapers. I haven’t figured that one out yet.
I was having issues with the crew, getting notices of no streams available and decided download the updated version. Now I’m getting a notice saying, can’t play the video, it’s a Real-Debrid issue. I just renewed Real-Debrid, Tract, and Premiumize-me before installing the update. Now, after installing the Crew update, there is an issue of clicking on a stream and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Is Real-Debrid no longer compatible with the Crew. Also the Umbrella App is no longer available.
Real debrid is in the EU. They received a notice telling them that they had to follow the EU Digital Services Act. That pretty much shuts them down. So it wasn’t the Crew.
They just had a huge update to a new design and it was updated again today. Where do you people get this stuff. It has been working better than ever of late!
