Any resolution to this problem? Trying to add source to Kodi on Firestick and can’t get past this error.
Could be a few different things. Maybe the repo is down for maintenance or some other reason, double and triple check the url you’re typing in and if using a vpn sometimes just changing locations will let it connect. Good luck
No success. Under Kodi, Settings/system information/Network, all is accurate and the internet shows connected.
However, under File Manager/Add source, any URL entered results in the‘Unable to connect’ message.
Anyone else having this problem or know what to do in order to add the file source?
I’m using 19.4. Should I use a different version?
Did you try changing vpn server to a different location, if you are using a vpn.
Currently not using a VPN.
WiFi speed is nearly 200.
This can happen if there is a typo in the URL. Most common is HTTP vs HTTPS, semi colon instead of colon, / instead of // or other typos. Kodi 19.4 is especially bad for semi colon vs colon as they changed the location on the keyboard.
Found this article you might want to read. Depending on who your isp is, this may be the problem. You could try a free vpn like maybe protonvpn just to verify that it’s not that.
URL is typed correctly and I installed the Proton VPN. Nothing works to allow the source to be found.
@SamCox at this point I’m stumped, hopefully someone with more knowledge on this will weigh in.

Trying toconnect to a site to download a specific add on with an andriod device. When trying to install the zip file an error message pops up “network is not connected”. I was able to download other add ons on this same device, just not this one. I did download the specific add on onto a different andriod device successfully. Does anyone know if im missing something with this particular andriod? I’ve tried changing location on my vpn, etc with no luck. Thanks.
Check the URL you are typing in. If it is not exact it won’t work
