Clear Cache on Onn Android TV Box Not Working

I go into apps on my onn device and select to clear cashe but never goes away.
Anyone else have this issue?

I’ve found that you need to click on it twice to remove the maximum amount. Any app you clear cache from will always have some left. You could also just use the background processes and clear it that way or literally go into your apps and clear each one. Just some thoughts.

Right. Sometimes you even have to click 3 times to clear it.

I have the 4K Pro box, and have found that you can clear the cache to zero for an app if you do a Force Stop first. I use Philo, and the cache builds up quickly, but when the device starts to get sluggish, I’ll go into the apps and do a Force Stop and then Clear Cache. It zeroes it out. I will also restart the device at least once a week. That keeps it running optimally.

The device should not get sluggish considering how much memory there is unless you have maxed it out. I am curious and will try this even though the amount of cache that is left after clearing it is negligible. It’s just like a phone or tablet, you can never clear the cache to 0 and if you seems you have, the next time you look, voila, there is that residual amount that matters not magically appeared again even if you have not used the app.

Force closing apps running in the background definitely helps because they are using up RAM.

Personally I force close all apps daily that are not needed to be running so any app I’m not using.

I do the same when I am finished with TV, I also have Smart Plugs for the android devices and have just started powering them off and 5 minutes later power them on at 4 AM. I am curious if anyone sees any cons to this.
