I’m trying to set up a new fire stick And it won’t go past the upgrade part of the set up. Disconnected from power and also factory reset,nothing works

Return it for a replacement. You shouldn’t have any issues with a new stick. The reliability of the firesticks has gone down of late (I’ve had to toss 3 or 4 in the last year).
