I finally got the NextTv app installed. Now I am having a hard time installing the channels I want to watch. Trying to add my favorite 24/7 programs to my favorites or watch list. But all I get is windows saying No Program Found. There is a list of 24/7 channels on the left side but no names or pictures on the right side that show what programs are available. I can go to the 24/7 listings on Tivimate and each catagory gives me a full list of programs that I can send to my favorites. I don’t get it. I think I would like this app if I could get it to work for me.
NexTV Player is just an IPTV player. Assuming you have an IPTV sub that you are using? The app itself has no content.
I just discovered that I can only watch NextTv for a certain amount of time using the free version. I don’t even know if I would like it more if I sign up for the paid version. I think I will look for a different app.
I think I will just give up on this NexTV. Its just a little to hard to find channels I like. Now I discovered that when I watch something for a certain amount of time, I get a message saying that my free time is over. Also I really prefer my Tivimate epg tv guide. Why should I take a chance that some of the things I like are in the paid version. I don’t really know If I like it or not, and I can’t find enough info to tell me the things I can and can’t do.
I’m a bit confused. The link I posted for NexTV is an IPTV player, but it sure sounds like this is some type of apk that has content from what you have described. Just for my own knowledge, could you describe what you are using so that I understand a little better?
It is hard being a 77 year old. What you are saying does make some sense to me. I do have a iptv service that gave me a URL, a USERNAME, and a PASSWORD. This service also has a separate player I can use. I have used the url’s in my Tivimate app to get my channels list and epg. I hope this is making sense to you. So basically , I could use the NexTV to set up a player like I did with Tivimate. ???
With those credentials, you should be able to use any IPTV player of your choosing. I believe your original post described wanting to organize your favorite channels. Tivimate is the most customizable, but maybe a little more tricky to the novice. It is worth trying multiple to see which ones work best for you. If you have any specific questions about the setup, just let us know.
Thanks: Tivimate is my favorite. I’ve just lost my touch. I used to use Purple Player some years ago. I really enjoyed. Now I have reinstalled it 3 times and all it does is run a line across the square that says perfect, or tells me to please wait across the top. But nothing ever comes up. No channels or anything. When I was younger, I really didn’t mind losing a half a nights sleep. But now all it does is irretate me.
If you have purple player you simply open it and log in to your admin panel to add a playlist. A playlist from your IPTV Sub is, in most cases, an m3u, m3u8 or X-treme codes containing the URL address, Username and password, all of which are supplied to you usually in an e:mail sent by your supplier when you sign up. The following provides you a guide.
Unfortunately you must read it and follow the instructions as we aren’t there to do it for you. Any IPTV player will have similiar instructions although some suppliers will have their own app that you must install and may already contain your credentials, but in most cases you must learn how to install them yourself.
All the IPTV apps have pros / cons.
The best I have seen is Formuler’s MYTVOnline, latest being MYTVOnline 3 - only available on their device. Sadly not all IPTV providers use epg in the correct format and will have issues with this app.
Others worth trying / using are Tivimate and implayer
Buzz U5 has it’s own built in app with DVR for playlists, but like 90% of IPTV players out there it still requires you to input credentials and url’s. In this case though Troy has a set of “Master Class” vids that you can watch on your phone to follow along and set it up on your device. As you can pause/play the vids it’s about the best that I’ve seen for users, and about as easy as it gets.
You should never buy a loaded box - Just posting for readers of this thread
What brought that up? Old news. Way off topic.
@Miki - I think he must have been implying that the U5 that you referenced falls among the shady loaded android boxes that are warned about.
@MikeN - the U5 isn’t a loaded box with active services. It merely has an iptv friendly OEM player software baked in (similar to tivimate) ready for iptv credentials that you may be subbed to.
Nonetheless, thanks for the general public warning. The U5, in its factory original state, does not fall into that warning category.
Oh my. You may be right. I just didn’t think of that as the Buzz company is a Canadian Company, manufacturer, and supplier.
This may have led some to adverts with loaded boxes
Sorry I don’t understand your comment? Entering credentials for IPTV on any device using a player is standard procedure.
I still get asked if a box installed with everything is a good idea as it’s at a very good price and they don’t need to configure anything.
BuzzTV and Formuler are basically the same thing except for the built in furniture.
