Cannot download from APKPure or transfer app using LocalSend to TCL TV running Android 11

I am seeking help from those who know a lot more about Android than I do.
I am trying to set up a new 55” TCL QLED tv and I have had no problems installing Downloader and using it to sideload Launch manager, Wolf launcher, Stremio, Sportsfire and other apps. For live tv I use apps like Streamfire, RedBox tv, UK Turks, and USnewson via the TV Bro browser. All work fine.
I wanted to download the TV Mob Pro app from the APKPure website but when I hit the download button it gets stuck with a never-ending ‘Download in progress’ message’. Both browsers produce the same result.
I then downloaded the apk file on to my ipad and tried to sent it to the tv using LocalSend. My ipad showed the transfer progress to normal termination but X-plore showed that no file had been downloaded to the tv.
The TCL is a Google tv using Android 11. The browsers and LocalSend have Unknown Sources turned on. I could not find a button under Developer ootions called Verified by Google’ although I did turn on one labelled ‘Verify apps over USB’ thinking it might be the same thing. I have not had any installation rejected in that way.
I was also surprised to find that the TV comes withh 11GB of shared internal storage, with nearly 7GB free, so lack of storage is not a problem
Basically I am stumped! I can’t think why these 2 apps should fail to download this apk, as everything seems to work with other sideloaded ones.
Be grateful if anyone can suggest what might be the problem.

So play protect is turned off within the playstore?

Interestingly I cannot find any Play Protect button to press. Under Settings > Privacy > Security & Restrictions all that appears is Unknown Sources and the list if apps which can be enable.
In Google Play settings > About it says the device is Play Protect certified but there is no enable/disable button press.
As I have successfully installed several side-loaded apps not in the Play Store it seems that the tv comes with it permanently disabled. Weird!

Play Protect is a Google Play Store setting and is disabled in the settings of the Play Store app.

Also, APKPure usually defaults to the Play Store app for downloading.

You can try another search using your TVBro for the APK you desire and download AND install it using the TVBro installer.

Which do you mean TV Mob Pro or Mobdro ???

EDIT: I tried several TV Mob sites to download and finally came up with one that actually worked. I think it was Softonics, but can’t remember. I uninstalled it and deleted the apk download file.

Thanks for that advice - I will look at Softonics and do a search with TvBro if thst doesn’t work.
I attach dome screen pics which shows that the device is Protect Certified but there is no enable/disable button

See the R in the top right corner, click on it. Or back out one screen from your first pic then click your avatar and the you should see play protect.

I found I had to change my web browser from google to load several apps from ApkPure. Not sure why but I had no problems with FireFox.
