The CRTC has done that with TV /Radio for as long as I can remember. The exact reason I scramble to try and find something online to watch the Superbowl game every year so I can see the American commercials and not the ones from Canada even though you want an American station. This past superbowl, I was actually able to pick up the game using OTA, an old antenna I have. The game was digital, 1080 p and due to great weather, didn’t skip a beat.
