Can the remote on the x88 prox5m control my tv?

Have you tried using a Universal Remote instead of the one that was provided?

I haven’t. That’s my next step if not able to with this factory remote.

You can get Universal Remotes pretty cheap (under $10) so I’d suggest trying that out
