And if you bridge a modem you bought with their network you wont see improvements. its a gimmick to say yes you can technically do it this way but it wont help. Their network is locked and last i checked if you use a modem not on there approved list it will cause issues even with bridging or bypassing.

I’m was still going to use the modem they supplied, just wanted to use a better router? Is that not possible?

You can use your own router no problem with cogeco, I have been using a netgear rax80 wifi 6 router for the last couple of years with cogeco
I was referring to modems but routers are fine.
