My firestick will not boot, it get stuck on the fire tv splash screen, It is not trying to reboot. I tried using the remote to do a factory reset but is does not respond. I tried using a keyboard but can’t get past the firetv, I have change hdmi ports and different tv’s and different power supplys and can’t get past the white letter firetv screen when plugged in. Is this a brick or is there something I can do to reset it?
Thanks
Sounds like a dead box🤣
This happened to me on an older Fire Tablet last night! If you can get into the BIOS recovery screen (I can do this on this Tablet) and unfortunately everything I can try – “reboot”, “factory reset”, “erase partition”, “hard stop” – nothing works and you are hung on (for me) the blinking “fire” logo (24 hours straight for me). The code says: “E: failed to mount /cache (invalid arguement)”. My research led me to believe there is no easy fix and that it is now a nice paper weight. Hope I’m wrong, but I ordered a new tablet tonight. Others on Google have had the same problem with Fire Sticks and generic Android devices. Not sure the origin of the problem. What proceeded the problem for me was uninstalling IPVanish, and then trying to install Surf Shark. It was taking forever and I did a hard restart of my tablet. Then the dreaded hang reared it’s head.
Well thanks for the info, I’ll try the info above, if not I’ll buy a new one. I’m cheap but $39.00 isn’t bad@
